Description: Designed in 1958, George Nelson’s Swag Leg Armchair is an icon of mid-century industrial design. The distinctive “swaged” legs—formed by pressure-tapering steel tubing—give the chair its sculptural stance and light visual profile.
The molded seat and back are separate elements joined with Nelson’s characteristic precision, creating a supportive shell with a subtle flex and an open gap for ventilation. Originally conceived to bridge home, office, and conference use, the chair remains one of Nelson’s most versatile and recognisable works.
Condition:Original vintage condition. Minor age-related wear consistent with use. Structurally sound with no cracks to the shell. Legs present well with light patina.
